The Five Nines were formed in 1975, the same year The Retreat opened. The name itself doesn't relate to skittles, rather the old Dole Office telephone number which was, 4 followed by 5 nines!
The team has always played in The Cardiff Roath League and has won the league and cup various occasions, lastly in the 2011/12 Season.
The team still has some of the original players from the first season but decided to move from The Roath League due to the diminishing number of teams in the league.
